Health and Safety Plans

The Plum Borough School District will provide instructional options that will ensure the health and safety of our students and the community while providing a world-class education. The current nature and status of the pandemic can change very quickly, and the District believes that it is prepared to start the 2021-2022 school year based on the current environment. Therefore, the District is prepared to move between phases efficiently and prepare the students and families for these adjustments.

Learning options for the 21-22 school year

The options below will be offered to students and families at the Plum Borough School District for the 2021-2022 school year:

  • 100% Full In-Person Learning (5 days a week instruction for all Plum Borough students K-12 with physical distancing to the “maximum extent possible”)
  • Plum Digital Learning Academy (5 days a week 100% “asynchronous” virtual option to occur for those families who do not feel safe)
  • PlumFLEX
    • When PCR rates are less than 5% the PlumFLEX option will only be available for quarantine students.
  • PlumFLEX Criteria
    • Quarantine students K-12
    • PlumFLEX is optional when PCR rates meet the following criteria.
      • 5% - <8% Optional PlumFLEX K-6 students only.
      • 8% - 10% Optional PlumFLEX K-12 students.
      • PCR > 10% Optional PlumFLEX K-12 students.

Starting Tues, 9/07/2021 due to the Pennsylvania Department of Health order mandating masks for all K-12 schools, all students and staff will be required to wear masks while indoors at all district buildings.
