The School Board of Directors respects the rights of students to not be subjected to unreasonable search and seizures all while recognizing the importance of promoting safe and secure learning environments.

School officials possess the authority to legally search students or their belongings which includes: clothing, backpacks, purses, bags, lockers, vehicles, or other possessions, without a warrant, when in schools, on school grounds, or attending school-sponsored functions.
