Visiting our Schools

Procedures for visiting O’Block Elementary, Pivik Elementary, Holiday Park Intermediate, or Plum Middle schools:

1. When you arrive at your designated building, you will push the button outside the main entrance of the building to alert office personnel of your presence.
2. You will be asked who you are, the purpose of your visit, and if your visit has been scheduled in advance.
3. Once the purpose of your visit has been approved and verified that you have scheduled it in advance, you will be let into the first set of doors.
4. Once the individual you are there to see comes to the office, you will then be permitted into the second door.
5. You will be required to provide a photo ID to the administrative assistant so you can be checked through our security software.
6. You will be asked to consent to a search of any bags, briefcases, backpacks, purses, etc. before being able to take that item beyond that point.  If you refuse to give consent to have the item searched, you will be denied entry into the building but will be given the option to take that item back to your vehicle and return to the building to continue the entry procedure.
7. You will be given a nametag to wear on your chest throughout the entirety of your visit.  At no time should you be unaccompanied by a school staff member.
8. After your visit, you shall check out with the administrative assistant in the main office.




Procedures for visiting Plum Senior High School:

1. When you arrive at Plum Senior High School, you will be required to go to the security window at the entrance marked “Visitors” to the far right of the main entrance.
2. The security officer will ask you the purpose of your visit and the individual’s name you are there to see.
3. After the security officer verifies your visit with that staff member, you will be granted entry into the security screening area.
4. You will then be required to give your driver’s license to the security officer so it can be checked through our security software.
5. You will then be given a name tag that will need to be placed on your chest area and shall be worn at all times during your visit.
6. You will be asked to consent to a search of any bags, briefcases, backpacks, purses, etc. before being able to take that item beyond that point.  If you refuse to give consent to have the item searched, you will be denied entry into the building but will be given the option to take that item back to your vehicle and return to the building to continue the entry procedure.  
7. Once all of the previous steps have been completed without issue, you will then be granted access to the secured waiting area where the individual you are there to see will come get you and accompany you throughout the entirety of your visit.
