Become a Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in volunteering in the Plum Borough School District.  Our volunteers play an important role in supporting students, teachers, and school events. We appreciate your willingness to give your time to help our schools.

Apply to Become a Volunteer
To begin, please click the link below to complete the Volunteer Application in our Recruiting and Hiring portal.

Required Clearances
To help ensure the safety of our students, Pennsylvania law requires all school volunteers to obtain the following clearances:

Act 151: Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
Act 114:
FBI Fingerprint Clearance

Important Information About Clearances
For your initial volunteer application, all clearances must be no more than one (1) year old at the time they are submitted.  Once you are approved as a district volunteer, your clearances will remain valid for five (5) years.  Clearances do not need to be renewed every year.

How to Obtain Your Clearances
Applications for each clearance can be completed online using the links provided below.
When applying for the Act 114 FBI Clearance, you will need to use the following Volunteer Service Code:  1KG6ZJ.

This code ensures your fingerprints are processed under the school volunteer category.

Submitting Your Clearances
After completing your clearances, download or save copies of your clearance certificates.  Upload or submit them as part of your Volunteer Application.  Once your application and clearances are reviewed and approved, you will be eligible to volunteer in the Plum Borough School District schools and activities.

Thank You
We appreciate the time and care our volunteers give to our students and school community.  Your support helps make Plum Borough School District a great place for students to learn and grow.
