Officer Netzlof
The Plum Borough School District proudly welcomed Officer Michael Netzlof to the Plum Borough School District Police Department in August of 2019. Officer Netzloff began training on August 15, 2019. His first official day in his assigned building was August 21, 2019.
Officer Netzloff retired after serving twenty-six years with the New Kensington Police Department. During his time there, he was the Tactical Team Commander for the New Kensington/Lower Burrell Critical Response Team (CRT). He also developed training and firearms policies for police departments, assisted private security and educational facilities in emergency preparedness plans and instructed community and civilian groups in various safety topics. Some of Officer Netzlof’s trainings and certifications include Police Cyclist Instructor (International Police Mountain Bike Association), Firearms Instructor, Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training Instructor, Trainer, Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (C.R.A.S.E.), First Aid/CPR/AED training and is also a Martial Arts Instructor for C.S. Kim. He will receive School Resource Officer (SRO) Training in October of 2019. Officer Netzlof is currently assigned to O'Block Elementary School.
