Officer Locke

The Plum Borough School District proudly welcomed Officer Joseph Locke to the Plum Borough School District Police Department in December of 2018. Officer Locke began training in the district on December 17, 2018. His first official day in his assigned building was January 2, 2018.

Officer Locke is a twenty-nine year veteran of the New Kensington Police Department. He served the last 5 years there as the School Resource Officer (SRO) at Valley High School, which is an enormous asset to the Plum Borough School District. Officer Locke is certified to teach numerous safety programs to our students, involving drug awareness, bullying, gun safety and situational awareness among others. He served as a Firearms Instructor and Tactical Response Team Member for the New Kensington Police Department. He completed School Resource Officer Training (SRO) in June of 2013. He is currently assigned to Plum Senior High School.
