The girls varsity soccer team continues to control the section after defeating Greensburg Salem in the road on Wednesday, 3-0.

Scoring the the Mustangs were Gianna Revetta, Ava Weleski and Emily Gribuch.

The win improves their record to 9-0-1 overall and 8-0 in the section.

In a pivotal section game against Penn-Trafford, the girls varsity soccer team scored all their goals in the first half en route to a 3-0 win.

The Mustangs goals were by Rayla Smith, Gianna Revetta and Olivia Bigger.

The win improves the girls record to 6-0-1 overall and 6-0 in the section.

They will go out of section when they travel to North Hills Saturday morning for a 10:30 start.

The boys varsity soccer team continued to steamroll through section play with a 6-0 win at McKeesport.

Jonathan Aristyl and Zach Mauro led the team with two goals and an assist each. Tristin Ralph and Brady French also scored.

The Mustangs improved to 9-1 overall and 8-0 in the section.

They will play at West Mifflin next on Saturday at noon.

For the second year in a row, the boys varsity golf team will be advancing to the WPIAL Class 3A playoffs. The Mustangs clinched their spot by finishing second in the section after a 189-236 win at Gateway. A day after winning the section qualifier, Wes Lorish led the team with a round of 33. Tim Pease and Carson Yocca shot a 37 and 38, respectively.
