The Plum Borough School District continues to strive towards keeping our schools safe. To help continue this effort, we are calling all students to share their thoughts on vaping and its consequences via the District-wide contest.
Mr. J.R. Pilyih has been named a finalist for the Champions of Learning Award in the Educators K-6 category. On Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the University of Pittsburgh Alumni Hall - Connolly Ballroom, he will join other candidates that were nominated from across the region.
Chevron, the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pirates Charities and the Grable Foundation are teaming up this baseball season with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit, Intermediate Unit One, and Kidsburgh to recognize teachers from southwestern Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia. Teachers will have the opportunity to be nominated for their exceptional classroom efforts that have positively impacted Pre-K to 12th-grade students.
Air Force Junior ROTC Cadet Major Alexandra Ralph and Cadet Technical Sergeant Carter Campbell, seniors at Plum High School, have each received scholarships!
Investing in the security of our students is one of our primary District goals. As we continue to implement the recommendations from our safety assessment audit, the Plum Boro Council has generously donated $160,000 for a new security office and vestibule at Plum High School, new security software for our students’ computers, safety bollards at all sites and new fencing at Center Elementary School.
