Mr. Robert Finney
Director of Facilities and Grounds

Robert Finney joined the Plum Borough School District in May of 2023 as the Director of Facilities. He oversees the day-to-day operations and maintenance of all buildings and grounds throughout the District. His responsibilities included direct day-to-day maintenance operations of multiple plants, including grounds maintenance and upkeep; direct staff, processes, and activities to sustain safe, continuous, and efficient plant operations. In addition, Mr. Finney schedules periodic and preventative maintenance; conducts emergency troubleshooting, and ensures maintenance support availability. His in-house maintenance and installation program eliminates outside contractors and reduces operations expenses to taxpayers.

He comes to Plum with a wealth of knowledge. He has over 20 years of experience as the Director of Facilities for Woodland Hills School District, Montour School District, and as the Educational Custodial/Maintenance Director for Upper St Clair, Bethel Park and Hempfield School Districts. Before his work in the public school system he worked as the Supervisor of Environmental for UPMC at St. Margaret’s and Shadyside Hospitals.
