From September 7-10, 2018, the western Pennsylvania area received an enormous amount of rainfall. The excessive amount of rainfall and ground saturation caused the drain water retention system to fill beyond its operating capacity. All science classrooms located on the ground floor, the G-wing, of the high school experienced minor water (not sewage) back up through the floor drains, pushing old air up into the classroom, where students and staff may have experienced a sour odor.
As of the evening of September 11, 2018, all systems are working properly. Classroom instruction is taking place under normal operating procedures.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
