Plum Borough School District has been named to the list of "Best Communities for Music Education," a prestigious designation from the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation.

The NAMM Foundation recognizes schools and school districts for their commitment and support of music education and applauds those that diligently work to enable all-student access to music across grade levels and amongst multiple schools.

The Plum Borough School District is one of 754 school districts in the nation to receive this honor. According to the District’s Fine Arts Department Lead, Mr. John DeLuce, “I can’t think of a more deserving community and music faculty for this award. The music faculty at Plum is one of the most cohesive, dedicated and hardworking groups of people and I am proud to be a part of it! We all receive so much support from the community and the school district for our programs and events.” 

The online application process was rigorous, requiring numerous pieces of data. Music faculty members, personnel, and administrators collaborated to complete the process, making the award a true District-wide win.

The Fine Arts Department is thrilled to receive such an honor for the community. It is truly a pleasure to see students thrive in a community where Music Education is supported and fostered. The designation evidences the musical experiences provided in the District.
