Biographical Information:
With over 27 years of experience in the field of education, Dr. Thomas has held various roles
encompassing teaching, leadership, and development in curriculum, instruction, and assessment. His
unwavering focus on student services has been instrumental in creating supportive environments that
foster a sense of value and empowerment among all students. Dr. Thomas earned an Ed.D. in School
Leadership from the University of Pittsburgh and degrees from Saint Vincent College and the University of
Pittsburgh at Johnstown. Throughout his career, he has consistently prioritized supporting students and
educators in reaching their full potential. His work has emphasized collaboration, equity, and positive
relationships across the educational landscape. As a firm believer in continuous improvement, Dr.
Thomas is eager to engage in active listening and learning from the Plum community.
As Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Thomas will focus on curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional
learning, special education, and human resources. He firmly believes that every child should have access
to a high-quality educational experience. Dr. Thomas' approach will be centered on collaboration, and
listening to the needs of faculty, staff, and families. He will also work closely with the district's leadership
team to ensure an unwavering commitment to student well-being and to identify emerging opportunities.
