Biographical Information:
Dr. Ashley Boyers has over 16 years of experience in serving students and families in public education. His experiences include leading K-12 curriculum development and implementation, district-wide strategic initiatives that have led to enhancements in the school districts he has served, technology integration, and a strong background in special education processes and procedures.
As the Assistant Principal at Pine-Richland Middle School, Dr. Boyers’ school was recognized as a Schools to Watch re-designated III middle school. The Schools to Watch designation indicates a high performing middle school in the four areas of Academic Excellence, Developmental Responsiveness, Social Equity, and Organizational Structures and Processes. Through Dr. Boyers’ leadership, Pine-Richland Middle School earned the Schools to Watch re-designation IV award, which showed significant growth in all four of the aforementioned areas of focus. During his tenure as Assistant Principal at Blackhawk High School, Dr. Boyers served on the Curriculum Council that was responsible for developing and deploying curricular changes district wide. During Dr. Boyers’ span as an administrator, he has served schools where students have both achieved and grew academically. His efforts have been recognized at the local, state, and national levels.
Ashley received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Waynesburg College with a focus in Elementary and Special Education. He earned his Master of Education in Administrative Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Pittsburgh, where also received his certification as a K-12 Principal. Subsequently, Ashley earned his Doctorate of Education in Leadership and Administration, as well as his Superintendent Letter of Eligibility from Point Park University.
