Student Selected for National Computing Award
Kacie Persia, a Plum Junior, is a recipient of a Certificate of Distinction from the 2019 National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) Awards for Aspirations in Computing. The NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing recognizes young women for their demonstrated interests and achievements in computing, proven leadership ability, academic performance, and plans for postsecondary education. Kacie was chosen from more than 4,300 applicants from high schools representing all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and all U.S. overseas military bases.  Students in grades 9-12 are eligible for the award. Congratulations Kacie!
