Welcome Back to School HP!
Dear Holiday Park Families,
 
With great anticipation and excitement, welcome to Holiday Park Elementary School 2019-2020 school year for all fifth and sixth grade families.  It is an honor to work with each student and family as well as help to carry out our daily mission of "Work Hard, Dream Big."
 
This school year promises  to be another exciting and productive experience for each student.  Our professional and dedicated teachers and staff have been preparing for your arrival.  In addtion, our administrative assistants have organized the biuilding as well as custodial staff thoroughly cleaning-shining each classroom.  Finally, our PTO is prepared to welcome all families as well as provide plenty of fun activities and family volunteer opportunities.
 
Each school year brings about positive change to your childs experience, please see several changes listed below:
 
Staff:
Mrs. Szymczak and Mr. Weisz will combine to be Fifth Grade Team (Pod) 5D 
Mrs. Taormina will join the Sixth Grade Team (Pod) 6D with Dr. Pivirotto, Mrs. Lynch, and Mrs. Hartley 
Ms. Moriarty  will serve as substitute speech teacher for Mrs. Polons 
 
Schedule:
All Fifth and Sixth Grade students will be 1:1 personal device with Chrome Books 
All Fifth and Sixth Grade students will have Library as a Special Area class 
HP will now operate off a 5-Day Special Area Schedule 
All Fifth and Sixth Grade students will now have opportunity to select a different Discovery Club for Fall-Winter-Spring session 
 
Team (Pod) Names:
HP students have spoken!  Prior to ending last school year, our current fifth and sixth grade students were polled as to how to name each grade team (pod).  Students voted to name each grade team after animals.  Once the school year has begun, each team of students will vote as to what specific animal the team will be known as.  As soon as complete, information will be shared to our families.
