The Mustangs Marching Band Never Misses a Beat

PLUM SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL  |  ONE-MINUTE READ

Plum Senior High School Mustangs Marching Band took their field and performed this year’s show, featuring music from Cirque du Soleil: La Nouba for their families, giving parents the opportunity to see their musical and dance performers in action as typically done during a Friday night football game on the field.

Students were very excited to perform. They worked diligently from the end of July until  showtime in order to give a memorable performance.

Plum Senior High School Mustangs Marching Band went to great lengths to ensure the safety of all students and staff. Students were restricted to their own space prior to the rehearsals and field drills were designed to allow students 7 ½ feet of clearance, exceeding the recommended guidelines. Rehearsals were held outside in the fresh air for optimal social distancing.

Mr. John DeLuce, Music Teacher at the high school, says “Safety and artistry without compromising quality is the focus of the Plum Borough School District Music department as a whole.”

Two additional full-band performances will be held at the high school for pregame and half-time shows. Hopefully, as guidelines change, we will all be privy to more!
