PLUM SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL   |  ONE-MINUTE READ

Plum Senior High School established and kicked off the first meeting of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual Alliance Club. The LGBTQIA+ Alliance Club helps connect high school students to a community of peers with similar needs. They will offer socialization and learning opportunities through educational events, fundraising and community outreach.

Co-Presidents Emma Killmeyer and Pidge McAndrews are leading the organization which is open to all students, and guiding the programming efforts for the Alliance. Mason Lutton is Club secretary, and Maura Jodkin is graphic/web designer. Ms. Linda Innocenti serves as the club's sponsor.

Emma Killmeyer says, “School is such a vulnerable place for us all as students, and I am so grateful that I get to help make it feel more safe and inclusive, and give all students the chance to be themselves fully and honestly.”
