Meet Our Educators: John DeLuce
This year is Mr. DeLuce’s 26th year teaching in the district. He teaches choir at PHS, as well as Partners in Music and piano class. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr. DeLuce directs the fall play, spring musical, and stage crew. He is energized by his students and the music he gets to share with them. “I think I have the best job in the school,” he shares.

He was inspired to be a music educator because of the teachers in his own life. DeLuce reflects, “I had some amazing teachers that inspired me to focus on sharing my passion for music with others.” His approach to education has been shaped by his college professors and professional conductors that he’s had the opportunity to work with. He shares, “the experiences I've shared with those individuals really had a huge impact on my philosophy of education and musicianship. They provided experiences that shaped who I am today and continue to draw on those experiences daily.”

When he’s not teaching or directing, DeLuce enjoys spending time with his family, especially cooking delicious meals together, and playing drums.
