The Power of Plum

Hello #PlumFamily,

The COVID-19 pandemic has wreaked havoc across the globe. From the closing of government agencies, businesses, and non-profit organizations to the separation of families and friends and the loss of community members, we are all experiencing some form of uncertainty. Although hopeful strategies have been put into place to help stop the spread of the coronavirus, lives have been disrupted and it will require us to search for a new definition of normal.

Life today has also brought to light the widespread realization and understanding of the value of our teachers, the interconnectedness of countries across the world, and the power of community. Although our individual encounters and reactions differ, we are all in this together regardless of the unknowns.

I do know there is one thing we all can agree on and understand — our love for all things Plum. We love our students, teachers, staff, and administration who continue to balance student safety with providing support, and a superior educational experience. We’ve made tough decisions and sacrifices, keeping students as the centerpiece because we know it sets up the next generation to succeed.

This edition of PlumIS will continue to reflect on events that span the District and highlight what it is to be part of Mustang Country and to be #plumproud. And remember, we are all in this together and #WeGotThis!
