PLUM SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL  |  ONE MINUTE READ

During the last class week of December 2019, Plum Senior High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (AFJROTC) graduates returned to the classroom. This time they were not students but graduates with a story to tell from their respective colleges and military school.  The Cadets shared lessons learned about finding college funding, what a typical day at college looks like, the careers they are considering, and how mentors helped them clarify their goals and make sense of all the opportunities life presented them.

Colonel Peterson and Master Sergeant Butler said they are extremely proud of the following AFJROTC graduates:

o Matt Barron ('17) - USAF Academy

o Justin Rowe ('19) - Ohio University, Army ROTC Scholarship winner

o Alexandra Ralph ('19) - Embry Riddle University, Air Force ROTC Scholarship winner and JROTC Pilot Scholarship, and

o SFC Shane Hutchison ('19) - United States Army Infantry, Pennsylvania Guard, and Clarion University Student

Cadet Alexandra Ralph (class of 2019), an aeronautical engineering student at Embry Riddle University in Arizona, offered this poignant advice: “Don’t let other people tell you what to do, but instead follow your dreams no matter where it may take you.”
