Plum Fine Arts Wins National Music Award for Second Year



For the second consecutive year, Plum Borough School District has been named to the list of "Best Communities for Music Education," a prestigious designation from the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation.   The NAMM Foundation recognizes schools and school districts for their commitment and support of music education and applauds those that diligently work to enable all-student access to music across grade levels and amongst multiple schools.   The Plum Borough School District is one of 686 school districts in the nation to receive this honor. The District’s Fine Arts Department Lead, Mr. John DeLuce, says, “The distinction and recognition of being one of the Best Communities for Music Education still rings true! Even during a pandemic. The staff and students of the music department are grateful to receive so much support from the Plum Borough School District  and community. Community support, professionalism, dedication and the District's commitment to excellence make Plum a great place for Music Education.”   The online application process was rigorous, requiring numerous pieces of data. Music faculty members, personnel, and administrators collaborated to complete the process, making the award a true District-wide win.   For more information about the award, click here.
