New leadership teams in administration and technology at Plum Borough School District are moving forward with plans to improve automated processes which promise to open up more pathways of possibilities for learning and to enhance back-end operations. With the District’s latest designation as a Google Reference School, students and their families will have better access to the things that make learning fun, accessible, and meaningful.

The District adopted the process of searching for areas where automation can increase productivity and limit costs to benefit students, staff, and community, such as standardizing devices to the Google platform so end-users get consistent service and regular updates. Automation helps integrate the current multi-building security system to better secure our physical plant. It also helps streamline communications to keep you better informed, with improved accuracy and faster.

Administration and staff are producing an environment that works synonymously with one another more efficiently, reducing noise from technical challenges and compatibility issues that can hinder education and interfere with productivity.

Technology helps us develop more approaches to learning, identify opportunities where we can reallocate resources to complete high-level tasks, and meet students’ needs for challenging, creative learning opportunities so that they are exceptionally prepared to compete in the workforce of the future.
