Oblock Teacher Wins Excellence Award

Ms. Stephanie Lednak, Learning Support Teacher at Oblock Junior High School, won the Pennsylvania Association for Middle-Level Education (PAMLE) Promising Practitioner Award. She has been recognized for her positive impact on both school and community. PAMLE is “a voice for professionals, parents, and others interested in the educational and developmental needs of young adolescents (10-15 years of age)”, drawing attention from middle-level schools across Pennsylvania. The organization awarded 14 PAMLE Promising Practitioner Awards this year. Ms. Lednak works with many of her students multiple times throughout the day, bringing her own ideas and experiences to the classroom. She thinks these allow her to better meet student’s individual needs and cater to their strengths. She also collaborates with her co-teachers to implement engaging lessons for students, both in-person and online. They work as a team to challenge their students to think outside of the box and to support them in the learning process. According to Lednak, “It is an honor to be nominated and chosen as a recipient of this award. I am proud that my work has been recognized and I am eager to continue making an impact in the classroom each day. I love my job and my school and am very grateful for the opportunity to pursue my dreams of becoming an educator!” For more information on PAMLE, go to https://www.pamle.org
