School Counselors
School counselors support students’ academic progress, career awareness, and personal growth. They work collaboratively with students, families, teachers, and administrators to address barriers to learning and help students develop the skills needed for success in school and beyond. Counselors provide individual and group support, assist with course planning, and help students navigate transitions across grade levels. They also serve as a key connection point for families and support students in developing decision-making, problem-solving, and self-advocacy skills.
School Psychologists
School psychologists support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development through assessment, consultation, and intervention. They work with school teams to identify student needs, conduct evaluations, and help develop appropriate supports and services. School psychologists collaborate with teachers and families to implement strategies that improve learning, behavior, and overall well-being. They also play an important role in crisis response, problem-solving teams, and ensuring that supports are aligned to each student’s needs.
School Social Workers
School social workers help address barriers that impact student learning, including attendance, family challenges, and access to community resources. They work closely with students, families, and school staff to support social-emotional development, improve attendance, and connect families with needed services. School social workers may provide individual or group support, participate in team meetings, and assist with intervention planning. Their work helps ensure that students are supported both in and out of school so they can fully engage in their education.
