The Butterfly Project Teaches Hope and Transformation

The Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh donated to The Butterfly Project at Plum Senior High School in remembrance of the 1.5 million children who perished in the Holocaust.

Plum Librarian Nominated for Leadership Academy

Library/Media Teacher Selected for Leadership Academy


Mrs. Vicki Dziewsulski, Library/Media Teacher at Oblock Junior High and Holiday Park Elementary, has been nominated and selected for the School Librarians Leadership Academy through the University of Pittsburgh. She has also received an at-large selection within the state of Pennsylvania.

An intervention is a combination of strategies put together to produce or reinforce a desired or necessary change. In public education, interventions are needed to determine best practices to effectively address student need(s). Holiday Park Elementary students have been a part of interventions that reinforce specific skill-based strategies in both math and English Language Arts, guiding them to work to their potential and to grow as learners.

Lockdown drills and life-saving bleeding control training can help secure the safety of those in confined and populated areas, and ultimately help save lives. The Coral Springs Police Department says these rescue techniques are just as reliable now as they were on February 14, 2018 during the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School event. More +
