Congratulations to Katrina Evankovich, Aidan Seitz, Carly Beninati, and Alec Alese for their participation in the PMEA District I Jr. High Band Festival at Yough Intermediate Middle School!  Students performed a challenging program under the baton of Mr. Christopher Marra of Seton Hill University.  Congratulations, Students!!

It's game time! The winning Viking Quest team is playing for the ultimate title as they compete against the All-Star Oblock staff team! This Friday, these two teams will meet in the Oblock gym for the chance to be crowned the Ultimate Viking Quest Champions! We will run on an Activity Period schedule with Activity period occurring at the end of the day. Be on the lookout for a detailed email with the schedule for the day. The Reach Out fundraiser winners will be throwing pies at their selected teacher or principal after the champions are crowned, you won't want to miss it! In celebration of the day's event - we're asking all students and staff to show their Plum Pride and wear your purple and gold!

Reach Out is sponsoring the annual Easter Egg Hunt.  Please consider donating a bag of bite-size candy to fill the Easter eggs which will make the children happy.  The donation box is in the office.

Do you have an Everyday Talent you want to share with the school?  If you do, please share your talent with Jade Turner.  Check your email for more details.

Public Service Announcement Contest:  Looking for motivated junior high students to submit 30 to 90 second video addressing the dangers and negative effects of vaping.  The video should be about the dangers of vaping and the consequences that follow.  The video can be live action, animation, silent film, interview style or slide show.

** The actual act of vaping is not allowed!

Prizes will be awarded for the first, second and third place teams.  *Please no more than 5 students in a group.

Videos must be complete and ready to show by April 29, 2019.  Sign up with Officer Locke in the office.

Videos will be judged by content and quality and Must be clean.

Students:  In study halls, teachers have been handing out certificates for extras in the cafeteria to random students who are "caught" reading beyond the 15 required minutes.   You never know if you may be the lucky receiver of one of these certificates....keep reading!
