Credit Recovery

Students in grades 7-12 have the opportunity to recover credit for courses in which they did not earn a passing grade in previous years. Credit recovery courses will take place through the Plum Digital Learning Academy (PDLA) and will utilize the Imagine Edgenuity online platform. These courses will be monitored by a Plum Borough School District teacher. Teachers will be available to assist students as needed either virtually or in-person at the Plum Senior High School Library when available. Students will work in an asynchronous environment to complete their coursework for these online classes. To learn about asynchronous learning, click here.

Students must earn a passing grade in the credit recovery course to earn credit towards graduation. The Credit Recovery course will be noted on the student’s transcript, and the grade earned in the credit recovery course would be factored into the student's overall QPA. Both the original failing grade and the new credit recovery grade will be included on the student’s transcript.

Credit recovery courses are offered at no cost to our PBSD students and families for the summer of 2023. Information on registration and start/end dates for credit recovery courses will be made available during the fourth marking period of the current school year. *Credit Recovery and Grade Replacement Courses ARE NOT NCAA-approved due to the condensed format. It is the student's responsibility to review NCAA policies to ensure they are academically eligible and fulfill all requirements set by the NCAA.
