The Plum Borough School District is very pleased to share that Mr. Joshua Shoop is now on board as our new Athletic Director and Student Activities Coordinator.
Mr. Shoop comes to us from the Pine-Richland and the South Butler School Districts. Under very strong leadership, his last program experienced enormous success including 10 section championships, over 60 teams reaching the WPIAL and/or PIAA playoffs, 8 WPIAL Championships, 2 PIAA Runner-ups, 2 PIAA individual champions, 1 PIAA team Champion, 2 players selected as the Gatorade Player and 1 Coach of the Year in the state of Pennsylvania.
Joshua Shoop is ready to measure against the best and begin collaborating with our Board of Directors, Administration, faculty, staff, student-athletes, coaches, and community. He believes in order to have success in athletics, all of these groups must focus on bringing out the potential in our student-athletes both on the field and in the classroom.
Mr. Shoop is a 1996 graduate from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), earning a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Health and Sports Management.
