Ashley Boyers Begins at Oblock Junior High School
Boyers’ experience includes the development and implementation of K-12 curriculum, district-wide strategic initiative development, technology integration, and an impressive background in special education processes and procedures. He has demonstrated an ability to build a positive school culture and climate in the schools he has led. As the Assistant Principal at Pine-Richland Middle School, his school was recognized as a Schools to Watch re-designated middle school for the past three calendar years. To be awarded as a re-designation school, the school must reapply, be evaluated, and demonstrate they have made significant progress from the previous application in the areas of Academic Excellence, Developmental Responsiveness, Social Equity, and Organizational Structures and Processes. In large part due to Ashley’s leadership, Pine-Richland Middle School was one of two schools in Pennsylvania that earned this prestigious re-designation.

While serving as an assistant high school principal at Blackhawk Area High School, Ashley Boyers led the district’s cyber school initiative, teacher induction program, and also served on the curriculum council that was responsible to developing and deploying curricular changes within the district.

Ashley Boyers received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Waynesburg College in Elementary and Special Education. Subsequently, he earned his Master of Education in Administrative Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Pittsburgh, where he also received his certification as a K–12 Principal. He is currently working towards earning his Doctorate in Leadership and Administration as well as his Superintendent Letter of Eligibility from Point Park University.

Please welcome Mr. Ashley Boyers to the Plum Borough School District.
