Department Leader: Nursing
BSN, RN, CSN
@PBSD: 5 years

From childhood, I knew that my career calling was in healthcare. My career dream was fulfilled when I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelors in Nursing degree. Through my clinical experiences, I discovered my love was pediatric and community healthcare. School nursing, in my home community,  was the perfect blending of my interests. I thoroughly enjoy the ability my school nursing career provides to provide for the health needs of a diverse student body, while collaborating with parents and caregivers to help their student succeed by ensuring their health needs are met.

I have been a Department Chairperson since 2012. Before that, I was a member of the Superintendent's Curriculum Council and Academic Council. As a proud Plum Borough School District teacher, I want to be an active participant in helping to drive our District to help our students in the best way possible. I have always sought to be a positive agent of change in the constantly changing field of education. There are new changes happening in the world all around us and I want our students to be fully prepared to take on these new and exciting challenges.
